Maestro Profile – Bento Dias
Bento Dias is an experienced IT professional, software developer, application specialist, and technology practitioner with a strong background in software engineering, application development, system administration, networking, and government information systems. He is currently working as an IT Application professional at the Ministry of Finance of Timor-Leste, where he is involved in monitoring and managing the Government Resource Planning (GRP) system, developing mobile applications and API services, and contributing as a task force member to the development of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). His professional experience in government technology environments provides him with valuable practical knowledge of how enterprise information systems are developed, maintained, integrated, and used to support organizational operations.
Bento has a strong academic background in Informatics Engineering, having completed his Master's degree in Informatics Engineering at Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia, and a Bachelor degree in Informatics Engineering at STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta, Indonesia. His academic journey has strengthened his understanding of software engineering, information systems, programming, databases, system development, and modern information technology. Combined with his professional experience, this academic foundation allows him to approach technology not only from a programming perspective but also from the perspective of system design, organizational requirements, and practical implementation.
As a Maestro at Faithsasha Academy, Bento focuses on practical technology and software development training for students, aspiring developers, IT professionals, and individuals seeking to build professional programming skills. His technical areas include programming and application development using PHP, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, and Python, as well as API development, mobile application development, system integration, networking, and software design. His experience working with government systems enables him to provide learners with practical examples of how programming and software engineering principles are applied in real-world enterprise and public-sector environments.
Bento also has experience in system development, graphic design, networking, and technical problem solving, giving him a multidisciplinary understanding of information technology. His previous professional experience as a developer at Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Yogyakarta involved developing a system for collecting and managing data from students who had completed their studies at junior and senior high school levels, demonstrating his experience in developing information systems for data management and archiving purposes. This experience, together with his current work in government technology, gives him a practical understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to development, implementation, maintenance, and system management.
As a trainer, Bento emphasizes hands-on learning and practical application. His teaching approach encourages learners to understand programming concepts through practical exercises, development projects, problem-solving activities, and real-world scenarios. Rather than focusing only on theoretical programming concepts, he helps learners understand how to design applications, write maintainable code, connect systems through APIs, work with different programming languages, troubleshoot technical problems, and develop solutions that address actual user and organizational requirements. His experience across different programming languages also enables him to help learners understand common programming principles that can be applied across multiple technology stacks.
At Faithsasha Academy, Bento's mission as a Maestro is to help develop the next generation of software developers, application developers, programmers, and IT professionals in Timor-Leste. He aims to provide learners with practical technical knowledge, professional discipline, problem-solving capabilities, and the confidence to build real software solutions. Through his combination of academic qualifications, government IT experience, software development expertise, and passion for emerging technologies, Bento contributes to Faithsasha Academy's goal of providing industry-oriented education that prepares learners for real professional opportunities in the technology sector.
