Belina Maia Rosario

Maestro Belina Maia do Rosário is a distinguished English language educator and a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Education, National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL). With more than 13 years of experience in English language teaching, she has dedicated her career to strengthening English education and promoting academic excellence in Timor-Leste.

She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from Flinders University, South Australia, where she developed advanced expertise in language pedagogy, curriculum development, and contemporary teaching methodologies. Her academic background, combined with extensive classroom experience, has enabled her to make significant contributions to the field of English language education.

Throughout her professional journey, Maestro Belina has served in various leadership roles, including as the long-serving Director of the English Learning Center (ELC) at UNTL, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing English language programs, supporting teacher development, and expanding learning opportunities for students and professionals. Under her leadership, the center strengthened its reputation as an important institution for English language learning and capacity building.

Passionate about educational innovation, Maestro Belina is committed to improving the quality of English language teaching through the development of effective, learner-centered, and culturally relevant instructional materials. Her work focuses on empowering both teachers and students by fostering engaging learning environments that encourage communication, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
